Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, ensure accurate financial record-keeping, and support the overall accounting processes of the organisation. Your enthusiasm for numbers, precision, and organisation will help us maintain seamless financial operations. Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
Process accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers.
Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts regularly to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
Assist with invoicing, billing, and expense tracking to support smooth cash flow management.
Support month-end closing activities by preparing reports, journal entries, and financial summaries.
Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
Maintain organized records of financial documents, receipts, and correspondence for audit readiness.

Experience

Prior experience working with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general bookkeeping principles.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify errors or inconsistencies in financial data.
Basic knowledge of accounting practices and financial reporting standards.
Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
