GENERAL SUMMARY
The Quality Inspector will conduct the inspection of all pump component parts to the standards explained in the Bill of Materials. They will liaise with vendors regarding improved relations and assisting with issues. They will also analise and report all internal / external issues, and assist by putting potential fixes in place.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

Inspection and recording of internally manufactured component dimensions in accordance with the engineering drawings and specifications for each pump component.

Inspection of Goods in – components, ancillary parts and damaged/repairable pumps.

Inspection of Goods Out – Complete In-house Celeros Components, Bareshaft pumps and full units.

Understand and interpret complex engineering drawings for dimensional and visual acceptance.

Recording and documenting of any deficiency within Celeros Hillington and/or against any Celeros Hillington Supplier via our NCR system.

Decision making with regards to possible concession and errors to ensure the customer receives a satisfactory product.

Discussion with supplier base relating to good and bad performance with a view to improvements and increased supplier relations.

Analysis and reporting on NCR system on periodic and/or ad-hoc basis.

Calibration of internal metrology equipment and managing the calibration system.

Auditing internal departments and external suppliers against ISO 2015 and internal processes/procedures.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

An ability to use a wide variety of metrology equipment and have experience in a similar environment or industry. They should have a good knowledge of standard computer systems (word, excel etc) and excellent communication skills.

Candidates should be time served in a recognized apprenticeship or equivalent SVQ qualification. A training program will be given as required to a suitable candidate to increase product knowledge.

Manufacturing experience, HS&E awareness.

A working knowledge of CMM`s + software, along with an understanding of NDE processes – Visual Inspection for welding and fabrications is essential.

A working knowledge of SAP with regard to entering data and reporting.

Experience of analysis and reporting figures. Team Player with high level of energy and commitment required for participating in and implementing change.

Strong communication skills; both written and verbally.
