Painter /Baster -Hinkley Point C

Altrad are currently looking for an experienced painter/ blaster to join the team at Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, Somerset, United Kingdom for the upcoming project.
This role will involve working 10:15-hour shifts on a 10/4 shift pattern, with start to be confirmed.
The position is paid under ECSA agreements, with lodge and travel paid where applicable. Pay rate: £22.82 basic/h
- Possible opportunity to work on a non-working day (Friday and Monday) at OT rates
*Overtime will not come into effect until your first full working week*
Key Deliverables:
- His/her duties will include, being competent and familiar with:
- Mechanical and Hand Tools
- Abrasive Blasting
- Trowelling, Floating & Rolling
- Abrasive wheels and conversant with Regulations/Standards.
- Concrete Coating standards and specifications and the individual types of surface preparation, application methods and coating operations.
- Be aware of the implications of legislation or other good industry practices, relating to the tasks on which they are based.
- With the safety personnel, oversee the implementation of risk and safety assessments.
- Show a personal example of good safety practice.
- Liaise with Supervision and Site Safety Personnel.
Key Requirements:
- ICATS certified or ACQPA level 1 option A and E minimum level or equivalent – Scope of works to be Touch-up therefore must be qualified to surface prep manually and with mechanical tools as well as apply coatings through brush and roller.

- OPITO Level 1 Blaster\Sprayer or Train the Painter - Protective Coatings Applicator
