Job Summary:

Lusofonia Culture & Events Ltd is seeking a Director of Cultural Events to lead the planning, development, and delivery of exceptional cultural, corporate, and community events. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader who enjoys creating memorable event experiences, building strategic partnerships, and driving operational excellence. What you'll do:

Lead the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of cultural events, festivals, exhibitions, and community programmes.
Develop event strategies that strengthen audience engagement and organisational growth.
Manage event operations, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
Build and maintain relationships with artists, performers, sponsors, venues, suppliers, and community partners.
Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote events and maximise attendance.
Oversee event logistics, vendor management, and operational planning.
Monitor event performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, licensing requirements, and company policies.
Identify new partnership opportunities that support cultural development and organisational objectives.
Lead, mentor, and develop event teams while fostering creativity, collaboration, and operational excellence.

Requirements:

Experience in event management, cultural programmes, hospitality, community engagement, project management, or a related field is beneficial.
Previous leadership or management experience is an advantage.
Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Creative mindset with strong planning and problem-solving abilities.
Passion for cultural events, community engagement, and audience experience.
Relevant qualifications or equivalent professional experience are welcomed.
