WE’RE GROWING OUR TREEHOUSE TEAM!
Café & Community Navigator
Serving great food, creating opportunities and supporting our community.
What exactly is a Café & Community Navigator?
Great question—because this isn’t your average café job!
The Treehouse Café is run by Mosaic Community Services CIC, a not-for-profit organisation. This means that every coffee, meal and treat purchased in our café helps us fund projects that support and strengthen our local community.
Here, our team doesn’t just serve coffee.
We serve the community.
One minute, you could be preparing lunch, making a delicious latte or welcoming customers at the till. The next, you might be offering someone a listening ear, helping a visitor find appropriate local support or patiently teaching an adult with a disability how to take an order for the very first time.
No two days are the same. Some are calm and productive; others are lively and busy, filled with new faces, community conversations and opportunities to make a genuine difference.
You’ll help keep the café safe, clean, well-stocked and running smoothly, while ensuring that everyone who walks through our doors feels welcomed, valued and included.
As The Treehouse grows, you’ll also help us provide meaningful opportunities for adults with disabilities to gain real café and workplace experience—developing practical skills, confidence and greater independence in a patient and supportive environment.
It’s hospitality with a bigger purpose.
- Make great coffee
- Prepare and serve food
- Help people learn new skills
- Listen when someone needs to talk
- Connect people with the right support
- Create a welcoming and inclusive space
- Help everyone feel that they belong
Who are we looking for?
Someone who combines high standards with a big heart.
Someone who notices when the fridge needs restocking, a table needs clearing or an important procedure needs following—but also recognises when someone may need a little extra time, encouragement or support.
You might have experience in hospitality, catering, care, support work, disability services, community work, teaching or training—or perhaps you bring a unique combination of these.
Most importantly, you will:
- Genuinely care about people
- Be friendly, patient and approachable
- Take pride in doing things properly
- Work well as part of a busy, supportive team
- Be willing to learn and develop
- Believe in the inclusive community we are creating
Training and qualifications
The successful applicant will be required to complete:
- Level 3 Food Safety and Hygiene

- Safeguarding Training
All required training will be arranged and paid for by us.
Come and join a café where your work means more—where every shift, every conversation and every cup of coffee helps create opportunities and strengthen our community.
