Hourly Rate: £15.00 p/h

What we are looking for?
The HGV Class 2 Tipper Driver is responsible for the safe, legal, and efficient operation of an 8-wheel tipper lorry across Gloucestershire and surrounding areas. The role involves transporting aggregates, soils, recycled materials, muck away, and other construction or waste-related materials to and from customer sites, quarries, recycling centres, transfer stations, and company depots.
The driver plays a key role in ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining compliance with transport legislation, completing daily vehicle checks, and representing the business professionally on the road and on customer sites. This position requires a strong focus on safety, reliability, compliance, and care of the vehicle.
Main responsibilities:
Safely operate an HGV Class 2 8-wheel tipper vehicle in compliance with road traffic laws, DVSA regulations, and company policies.
Transport and deliver a range of materials to construction sites, highways projects, commercial premises, quarries, and recycling facilities.
Ensure loads are secure, legally compliant, and tipped safely in authorised areas after assessing site conditions.
Conduct daily vehicle inspections, including checks of tyres, lights, brakes, tipping equipment, fluid levels, and overall vehicle condition.
Report vehicle defects, damage, safety concerns, and operational issues promptly through company procedures.
Comply with Drivers’ Hours, Working Time, tachograph regulations, operator licence requirements, and all transport legislation.
Maintain accurate records, including tachograph data, delivery notes, tickets, waste transfer documentation, and required signatures.
Provide professional customer service and communicate effectively with clients, site personnel, transport planners, and colleagues.
Follow all health, safety, environmental, and PPE requirements, reporting accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions immediately.
Support operational needs through flexibility, attendance at training and briefings, safeguarding company assets, and promoting a positive team culture.
