Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to oversee daily operations within a vibrant early childhood education setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of childcare professionals, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This role offers an opportunity to utilise strong management and leadership skills while making a positive impact on young lives. Candidates should possess relevant nursery experience and a passion for early childhood development.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the nursery team, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment
Oversee the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and quality standards
Maintain effective communication with parents, carers, and staff to support children's individual needs
Organise staff rotas, recruitment, training, and performance appraisals using nursery management software ( family )
Manage administrative tasks including record keeping, budgeting, and reporting
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance nursery standards and service delivery
Support children’s emotional well-being and behavioural development through positive guidance strategies

Experience

Proven management experience within a nursery or early childhood education setting at least 3 years as a senior manager
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
Extensive knowledge of childcare practices, child development, and early childhood education principles and supporting children with additional needs
Experience working directly with children and understanding their developmental needs
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting resources or attending external meetings or events
Ability to build a new team to ensure outstanding provision across the nursery
