Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Ground Worker/Labourer to join our team. The successful candidate will assist with various site preparation and maintenance tasks, ensuring the smooth progress. This role offers an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join our ever growing family run business.

Duties

Assisting with site clearance, including removing debris and organising materials
Laying kerbs, path edgings, aco drains
Assist with the laying of tarmaccadam and resin
Loading and unloading materials using manual handling equipment or tools
Supporting skilled tradespeople with their tasks as required
Maintaining safety standards by keeping the work area clean and hazard-free
Assisting with the setup and dismantling of site facilities such as barriers and signage
Operating basic machinery or tools under supervision, subject to training

Requirements

Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or labouring
Ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions
Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy objects safely
Willingness to learn new skills and follow health and safety procedures
Basic understanding of site safety regulations is desirable
A valid UK driving licence
Over 30 years of age for insurance purposes
Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team

This role provides valuable hands-on experience within the construction sector, fostering skills that can support career growth in trades or project management. Applicants should be organised, proactive, and committed to maintaining a safe working environment.

Pay: £14.78-£25.25 per hour
