3C ICT is our shared ICT service supporting Cambridge City Council, Huntingdonshire District Council, and South Cambridgeshire District Council.

Our team of more than 80 ICT professionals delivers a broad range of services, including digital development, systems integration, infrastructure management, cyber security, cloud technologies, and corporate application support. We are seeking two highly motivated and enthusiastic Senior Application Support Officers to join our Application Support Team.
This is an exciting opportunity to support and develop a diverse portfolio of business-critical applications used across three local authorities. You will play a key role in ensuring corporate applications remain secure, available, and fit for purpose while delivering excellent customer service to users across the councils.
The role combines technical application support, supplier engagement, system administration, service improvement, and project delivery. You will work closely with colleagues across ICT, business stakeholders, and third-party suppliers to resolve issues, implement enhancements, support upgrades, and contribute to transformational programmes.
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing second and third-line support for corporate applications
- Managing incidents, service requests, problems, and changes
- Working with suppliers to investigate and resolve technical issues
- Supporting application upgrades, migrations, and implementations
- Maintaining system documentation, procedures, and knowledge articles
- Identifying opportunities for service improvement and process automation
- Supporting project delivery and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensuring applications comply with security, governance, and operational standards.
You will be a proactive and customer-focused ICT professional with experience supporting business applications within a complex operational environment.
You will have:
- Significant experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting business applications
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Experience working with software suppliers and business stakeholders
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure
- A structured, organised, and methodical approach to work
- Experience producing technical documentation and knowledge-sharing materials
- A commitment to delivering high-quality services and continuous improvement.
