Job Description: Delivery & Collections Driver
Responsible to: The Operations Manager
Location: Merlin’s Bridge, Haverfordwest.
Hours: Full Time
Salary: £24,784
Main aims of the post:
To provide a flexible, efficient, effective and professional delivery/collection service.
Key Duties:
· To carry out and complete the required vehicle checks prior to each day work, and inform the Initial Processing supervisor of any identified faults or damage. Complete the mileage forms accurately at the beginning and end of each trip.
· To pay attention to the personal appearance of yourself and your crew members, as representatives of the organisation and to wear the identification badges provided.
· To act as team leader taking responsibility for delivery of quality work and training placements to individuals with or recovering from metal ill health and/or a learning disability.
· To treat the furniture/household items being delivered / collected with respect, ensuring that all items on the vehicles are loaded and correctly secured.
· To undertake and complete all scheduled deliveries and collections on a daily basis and to inform the organisation of any difficulties arising which may prevent this.
· To risk assess each job and facilitate safe working practice ensuring that appropriate lifting aids are used at all times.
· To be responsible for the efficient and safe loading, unloading and securing of loads on the vehicle.
· To be responsible for the security of items kept in the cab of the vehicle including satellite navigation systems, mobile phones and personal possessions.
· To ensure that if an attempt to collect or deliver on behalf of Pembrokeshire Frame Ltd and no-one is at home a calling card is left at the property. Also to log failed visit on provided phone/ tablet system.
· To only collect items listed on the collection paperwork.
· To plan the daily route that maximises fuel efficiency, using the multi map facility and satellite navigation systems.
· To telephone the Operations Manager the PCC supervisor immediately if you become lost, or if you have difficulty in dealing with a customer.
· As the Driver, if you are involved in an accident with another vehicle you MUST follow the guidelines laid out in the driver’s folder and immediately contact the Operations Manager.
· To ensure that your holidays are organised in line with the terms of your contract and with the organisations holiday procedures.
· To ensure the Health and Safety of yourself and others in line with the organisations policy and procedures and the requirements of Health and Safety legislation.
· To ensure that any working method or process does not interfere with or endanger any other workers or members of the general public.

Ø Ability to communicate in Welsh
