Full job description

We are looking for an organised and experienced Accounts Administrator to join our growing construction business. This is a varied role that would suit someone with strong accounts experience, excellent attention to detail, and knowledge of the construction industry.

Experience Required:

Essential experience using Xero
Experience working within the construction industry
Good understanding of CIS subcontractors and CIS processing
Strong organisational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Key Responsibilities:

Processing weekly subcontractor payments, including CIS deductions and preparing information for the accountant
Processing monthly payroll
Managing debtors and creditors
Raising monthly sales invoices
Issuing monthly customer statements
Cash collection and credit control
Processing supplier payments
Resolving debtor and creditor queries
Reconciling bank accounts in Xero
Reconciling supplier statements
Managing retention accounts
Dealing with customer and supplier queries efficiently
Providing general accounts and finance administration support

The Ideal Candidate:

Previous accounts administration or finance experience
Confident using Xero
Experience with CIS and subcontractor payments
Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Friendly, professional, and customer-focused
