Due to continued growth, we're looking for an ambitious and organised Estimator to join our expanding team.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing business where you'll work closely with the Managing Director and play a key role in securing future projects.
About the Role
As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive quotations for a wide range of commercial roofing and building fabric works.
You'll review enquiries, carry out material take-offs, obtain supplier quotations, prepare cost estimates and submit professional quotation packages to clients.

Key Responsibilities
- Review client enquiries and tender documents.
- Measure works from drawings, photographs and site information.
- Carry out accurate material take-offs.
- Obtain supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Price labour, materials, plant and access equipment.
- Prepare professional quotation documents.
- Produce detailed scopes of works.
- Liaise with suppliers and clients regarding technical queries.
- Assist with tender submissions.
- Maintain estimating cost databases and supplier pricing.
- Follow up quotations with clients.
- Support the Managing Director with larger tenders and commercial opportunities.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous estimating experience within construction, roofing, building fabric or a similar industry.
- Good understanding of construction methods and materials.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to read drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple quotations at the same time.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable Experience
- Commercial roofing estimating.
- Facilities Management sector experience.
- Knowledge of flat roofing, pitched roofing and roofline systems.
- Experience pricing reactive and planned maintenance works.
- Experience with tenders and framework submissions.
