Duties & Responsibilities
- Clarify customers’ requirements and convert them into a forensic strategy; to coordinate the search, recovery and testing of material from case exhibits in the laboratory; and interpret the findings in a concise manner to present evidence to the court
- Manage your own resources including a personal case load and take responsibility for your own professional development.
- Conduct a forensic strategy in line with a CAI approach.
- Undertake or supervise the technical analysis of forensic samples.
- Assign meaningful interpretation and conclusions to forensic evidence.
- Prepare written reports suitable for court/CPS purposes
- Provide expert evidence to courts.
- To work collaboratively with other departments in order to meet customer requirements.
- To deliver departmental excellence and efficiency driven by the ever increasing demands of the business - there will be a strong emphasis on continuous process improvement.

Qualifications
- Educated to degree level, in a Science discipline, is essential.
Experience
- No experience is required, however previous experience within a Biology/DNA laboratory environment or the forensic field would be beneficial.
