We are looking for an outgoing, friendly and enthusiastic individual to join our busy team In the role of Business Account Manager. The role contains both business development of new opportunities as well as placement management, with no two days being the same. Working over 4 days of the week and with attendance expected at our Norfolk office for part of that week, the right person will need to be a highly adaptable problem solver, able to multi task and keep focussed.
Job Purpose
The role of the Business Account Manager within the company is to be responsible for sourcing, recruiting and managing the delivery of Apprenticeships, supported employment places and pre-Apprenticeship placements with host companies across the region. This includes sourcing and management of training provision to ensure progression and completion.
Overview/Context
Moore Networking is a social enterprise Project Management Company that runs TrAC and Enable Futures, which are multi-sectoral government registered Flexi Job Apprenticeship Agencies. Moore Networking also delivers the Apprenticeships New Anglia project, focused on increasing the uptake of Apprenticeships within businesses in Norfolk and Suffolk, and is the lead partner in FutureIN, a project supporting those who are vulnerable and at risk of homelessness to acquire and maintain construction-based Apprenticeships.
TrAC is an award-winning not-for-profit company, which operates across the Southeast Midlands, South-East and East to support fixed term apprentice placements across most business sectors. As a DfE registered Flexi Job Apprenticeship Agency, TrAC generally employ around 100 apprentices at any one time, who are placed with host companies, their sub-contractors and supply chains for fixed durations of 6 months or more, to provide them with the opportunity to complete their training. Since launch in 2012, TrAC has achieved high levels of apprentice retention and 100% into employment or further learning on completion.
FutureIN is delivered by Moore Networking and TrAC in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. It supports vulnerable individuals into lasting careers in the Construction Industry.
Enable Futures is a national award winner in the sector and delivers the same services as TrAC, but covers the Northeast, Yorkshire and Humberside and the Northeast Midlands.
Moore Networking also develops and provides software to businesses including databases, HR management systems and Website developments.
Principal Accountabilities
- Developing Apprenticeship opportunities with businesses, overcoming barriers and ensuring an effective delivery of recruitment services
- Coordinate business development activities to identify roles with business for applicants who are screened and pass initial interview, or those currently needing a new placement
- Manage a caseload of host company businesses ensuring that issues with attendance or behaviours of those on placement with the host company are effectively managed
- Arrange attendance at meetings, networking events, assessment days, exhibitions etc. to maximise opportunities for business development
- Work with the wider team to promptly deal with issues that arise, to minimize the impact of these and maintain attendance and progress
- Act as the first point of contact for training providers who are linked to the placement
- Complete paperwork for training providers and induct trainees and apprentices into placements
- Attend training review sessions with apprentices and Apprenticeship providers, summarizing and feeding back progress to the host business using our online system
- Where learning outcomes have stalled or there are issues, work to investigate how progress could be made, negotiating solutions with providers, apprentices and host companies together
- Deal with referrals for support identified by the training provider and host company mentor or support teams that require face-to-face engagement
- Deal with workplace conflict to resolve issues wherever possible, managing complaints and issues effectively to ensure good customer service standards are maintained
- Ensure businesses are aware of their responsibilities, offering them support and help/training in relations to Equality and Diversity, Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Sustainability
- Support the delivery of all aspects of the TrAC, Enable Futures and Moore Networking services at all times to ensure an even distribution of work. This could include being asked to carry out tasks required that are not covered elsewhere in this job description
- Ensure that the workplace is kept clean, tidy and sanitised. Always portray a positive image of Moore Networking, Enable Futures and TrAC
- Ensure the accurate recording of data, information and notes is maintained in a timely manner across all MNL, Enable Futures and TrAC systems
