About the PlacementKocktail Club Ltd is launching a new premium single-serve cocktail format, the “Kocktail Glass”, requiring the implementation of new automated production processes and smart manufacturing systems.This internship forms part of the Made Smarter fully funded internship programme, supporting a defined digital improvement project within a live production environment.The RoleThe intern will support the digital transformation of production and operational workflows within a new production facility. This role focuses on improving efficiency, data capture, and process integration alongside the introduction of semi-automated machinery.Key Responsibilities
- Map and improve production workflows for the new single-serve line
- Assist with implementation of digital stock and batch tracking systems
- Support machinery integration and operational efficiency reporting
- Develop production dashboards and KPI tracking (output, downtime, waste reduction)
- Support digital documentation for SALSA, HMRC/APPA and quality compliance processes
- Review opportunities for automation across packing, labelling and fulfilment operations
- Assist with forecasting and production planning tools linked to retailer demand
Skills and ExperienceEssential
- Confidence using digital tools (e.g. Excel, data handling)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Interest in manufacturing, automation, or digital transformation
- Ability to work in a structured and organised way
Desirable (not required)
- Exposure to manufacturing or production environments
- Experience with dashboards (e.g. Excel, Power BI)
- Understanding of production planning or inventory systems

Hours and Funding
- Up to 444 hours total, agreed with the business

- Paid at National Minimum Wage
