Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a passionate and professional Pilates Instructor to join ELEVATE to teach a weekly mat Pilates class on a Thursday evening at 5:30 in Portsmouth.

Thursday 1st October for 12 weeks until Thursday 17th December -

The ideal candidate will be dedicated to helping clients improve their strength, flexibility, and overall wellbeing through specialised Pilates programmes.

The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering engaging classes, providing personalised guidance, and fostering a motivating atmosphere for all participants.

Duties

Lead group Pilates class tailored to various skill levels, ensuring safety and proper technique.
Provide personalised instruction and modifications to accommodate individual needs and limitations.
Demonstrate exercises clearly, offering guidance on posture, breathing, and movement execution.
Monitor clients during sessions to prevent injury and correct form as necessary.
Maintain a clean, organised studio environment and ensure all equipment is safe and well-maintained.
Keep accurate records of client session attendance.
Skills
Proven experience in teaching Pilates.
Strong knowledge of human anatomy relevant to Pilates exercises, ensuring safe practice and injury prevention.
Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex movements clearly and empathetically.
Organised with the ability to plan engaging sessions that cater to diverse client needs.
Certification in Pilates instruction recognised by relevant industry bodies
Passionate about health, fitness, and helping others achieve their personal goals.

Pay: £25.00 per hour
