Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Prescription Clerk to join our pharmacy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with prescription processing, providing excellent patient service, and supporting pharmacy operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional healthcare environment, contributing to patient care and medication management. Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or in medication administration is highly desirable, along with a strong commitment to patient care and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists with the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions accurately and efficiently
Verify prescription details and ensure all information complies with legal and safety standards
Greet patients courteously, answer queries, and provide guidance on prescription procedures
Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed and patient interactions
Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reordering supplies as needed
Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the pharmacy workspace
Follow all health and safety protocols, including infection control measures
Support medication administration processes where applicable, ensuring patient safety at all times

Qualifications

Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in medication administration is preferred
Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, with a friendly and professional manner towards patients
Knowledge of pharmacy software systems is advantageous
Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to patient confidentiality and data protection standards
Relevant qualifications or certifications in pharmacy assistance or healthcare support are desirable
