Full job description

Stepping Stones Childcare (Cornwall) are looking

We are looking for passionate and flexible Bank Staff to join our friendly nursery team. This role is perfect for those who want to work on a casual basis, providing high-quality care and support for children in a nurturing environment. Ideal candidates will have experience working with young children, a warm and caring nature, and a willingness to adapt to different age groups. If you love working with children and want a rewarding role with flexibility, we’d love to hear from you!

Desirable:

Dbs
Food hygiene
Paediatric first aid

Performance:

Communicate with Children and Parents/carers in an appropriate manner including the use of Makaton & hand signs.
Maintain a safe environment and employ practices that promote children’s health, safety ,mental and emotional well-being.
Promote children’s rights, equality, inclusion and anti-discriminatory practice in all aspects of the setting.
Follow the policies & procedures in relation to Child Protection & Safeguarding. Raise your concerns with the team leader or DSL and complete relevant paper work.

But most importantly we are looking for someone who..

Must have a warm smiling face that makes every child feel special
Can have lots of fun and likes to laugh lots.
Can read the same story over and over whilst getting interrupted several times per page.
Enjoys getting covered in every sort of messy substance and being able to pull it off.
Doesn't mind their name being shouted hundreds of times in one day.
Can sing nursery rhymes even if it is out of tune.
Must be able to laugh at jokes you don’t understand.
Enjoys being outside in all weathers, we love the great outdoors.
Can impersonate wild animals with full enthusiasm.
Has a warm heart and is prepared to be very important and loved by both children and families.
