BRIDAL & EVENINGWEAR QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER
Caroline Castigliano (www.carolinecastigliano.com) is widely regarded as the market leader in luxury Bridal, Evening and Event Wear in the United Kingdom with a showroom in London’s Knightsbridge and retail stockists worldwide.
We create exquisite hand crafted bespoke, MTO and MTM bridal, evening gowns and event wear in our dedicated studio in Harlaxton, near Grantham.
We are currently recruiting a Quality Control Manager to head up our quality control to ensure our output meets our own stringent expectations and exceeds that of our customers.
Job Role
Reporting to the Production Manager, this is a “hands on” role taking overall responsibility for the quality of all garments and accessories being despatched to customers around the globe.
Job Description
· Inspection of all finished garments to ensure they are correct for appearance, sizing, fabric quality and construction.
· Assist in setting standards for our internal sewing department and with our outworkers to monitor, maintain, and improve standards of quality,
· Ensure all information relevant to the quality and specification of a product is accurately entered onto our IT system.
Key Skills & Experience
· Experience in Quality control on high value clothing and fashion.
· Good understanding of sewing techniques and garment construction.
· Working knowledge of Patterns.
· Experience of luxury eveningwear and corsetry would be an advantage.
· Ability to communicate skilfully both internally and externally.
· Ability to plan own workload and prioritise objectives.
· Computer skills with Microsoft packages.
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
Salary and Benefits
· £33,000 to £35,000 per annum
· Workplace Pension
· 40 hours / week – negotiable, Monday to Friday. (9.00 to 5.30 with half an hour for lunch) Additional hours may be required from time to time.
· 20 days a year holiday (plus statutory holidays)
· Based at Harlaxton (near Grantham).
