Your Role
Lead clinical care for PICU, managing 9 beds
Provide senior medical leadership & supervision to resident doctors and trainees
Engage in service development , business planning , and academic programmes
Maintain compliance with GMC registration , Mental Health Act Section 12(2) approval, and professional codes
Job Plan:
8 PAs (6 DCC and 2 SPA) dedicated to inpatient work

Main Responsibilities
Manage, appraise, and provide clinical supervision to junior medical staff
Ensure compliance with New Deal and Working Time Directive for junior doctors
Undertake administrative duties associated with patient care
Accurately record and submit clinical activity data
Participate in service and business planning for the locality and wider mental health service
Engage in annual consultant appraisal and job plan review
Attend and contribute to the Trust’s academic programme and CPD activities
Maintain GMC registration , Section 12(2) approval , and professional standards
Collaborate with managers and colleagues to ensure efficient service delivery
Support financial planning and management within the service
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based senior medical care in acute and locked rehabilitation settings
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide person-centred care
Foster therapeutic relationships with patients and carers
