Full job description

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic school leaver to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting their career and looking to gain valuable experience in administration and procurement while developing professional skills.

No previous experience is required, as full training will be provided. The successful candidate will support our procurement function, helping to ensure goods and services are purchased efficiently and records are maintained accurately.

You will be working for an organisation that is expending rapidly in the field of mechanical and electrical engineering and have a great opportunity to step into a thriving industry.

Collaborating with internal stakeholders

Negotiating with suppliers to secure the best overall cost and terms

Supporting the procurement team with raising purchase orders

Requesting & comparing quotes, raising purchase orders, and tracking deliveries

Tackling challenges internally and with the supplier base

Developing commercial awareness and industry knowledge from day one

General administrative/clerical duties within purchasing and finance departments

Interest in business, administration, or procurement.

Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.

Close mentorship from the Head of Department

Good literacy and maths.

Basic IT skills including Microsoft Office, Word & Excel.

Don’t be afraid of applying if there are some aspects that you don’t necessarily comply with as character and drive are more important factors than experience and skills at this stage.

Pay: £2,500.00-£25,000.00 per year
