About Us

S P Pharma Services Ltd is an independent, patient-focused community pharmacy group based in Chelmsford. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality clinical services alongside efficient dispensing. Our pharmacies are forward-thinking, digitally enabled, and actively engaged with local GP practices and PCNs.

We are seeking a motivated, clinically driven Pharmacist to join our growing team.

Role Overview

As a Responsible Pharmacist, you will lead the safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical services, ensuring excellent patient care while supporting business growth through service development.

This role is ideal for a pharmacist who enjoys both clinical services and operational leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical & Professional Duties

Act as Responsible Pharmacist in accordance with GPhC standards

Ensure safe and accurate dispensing of prescriptions

Deliver NHS services including:

Pharmacy First

CPCS

Hypertension Case Finding

Contraception Service

Provide private services (e.g. travel clinic, vaccinations, weight management)

Conduct patient consultations and provide medicines optimization advice

Support and develop prescribing pathways (if IP qualified)

Operational & Leadership

Lead and support the dispensary and counter team

Ensure SOP compliance and clinical governance standards

Manage workflow efficiently to maintain safe dispensing

Support stock control and cost-effective purchasing

Maintain excellent relationships with local GP practices and PCNs

Essential Requirements

MPharm degree (or equivalent)

Registered with the GPhC

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong clinical knowledge

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care

Desirable

Independent Prescriber (or working towards)

Experience delivering advanced and private services

Experience in a high-volume community pharmacy

Leadership or management experience
