Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Groundworker/Dumper Driver to join our construction team On a self employed basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing all aspects of groundwork's and operating forward tipping dumpers. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to large-scale infrastructure developments while ensuring safety and efficiency on site. Duties
- Operating dumper trucks to transport materials across construction sites efficiently and safely
- Assisting with groundworks, including excavation, levelling, laying edging kerbs and drainage.
- Loading and unloading materials using appropriate machinery and manual handling techniques
- Ensuring all equipment is maintained in good working order and reporting any faults promptly
- Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times to minimise risks on site
- Assisting other team members with general site duties as required
- Keeping the work area clean, organised, and hazard-free throughout the shift
Skills
- Valid CPCS or NPORS qualification for dumper operation is essential
- Proven experience operating dumper trucks within a construction environment
- Knowledge of groundworks procedures and safety protocols
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual tasks in various weather conditions
- A proactive attitude towards health and safety standards on site
