Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Landscape and Gardening Technician to maintain and enhance the appearance, health, and functionality of landscaped areas and gardens. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine grounds maintenance, plant care, irrigation maintenance, pruning, lawn care, and seasonal landscaping activities to ensure all outdoor areas remain safe, attractive, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain lawns, gardens, flower beds, shrubs, hedges, and trees to a high standard.
- Perform routine mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, and weed control activities.
- Plant, transplant, and replace flowers, shrubs, trees, and ornamental plants as required.
- Apply fertilizers, soil conditioners, mulch, and pesticides in accordance with horticultural best practices and safety regulations.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment including lawn mowers, trimmers, hedge cutters, leaf blowers, and irrigation systems.
- Inspect landscaped areas regularly and identify plant health issues, pest infestations, drainage problems, and irrigation defects.
- Repair and maintain irrigation and watering systems to ensure proper plant hydration.
- Remove leaves, debris, litter, and other waste from landscaped areas, walkways, and grounds.
- Support seasonal landscaping projects, including planting programs and garden renovations.
- Assist with snow removal and winter grounds maintenance when required.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and material usage.
Qualifications and ExperienceEssential
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in landscaping, gardening, grounds maintenance, or horticulture.
- Knowledge of plant care, lawn maintenance, pruning techniques, and irrigation systems.
- Ability to operate landscaping machinery and power tools safely.
- Good understanding of fertilizers, pesticides, and pest control methods.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality grounds.
Desirable
- Certificate or Diploma in Horticulture, Landscaping, or Grounds Maintenance.
- Experience with irrigation system installation and repairs.
- Knowledge of seasonal planting programs and landscape design principles.
- Valid driver's license.

Pay: £24,000.00-£26,000.00 per month
