Assistant Manager – London

Venchi was founded in Piedmont, Italy, in 1878. We are a premium chocolate and gelato brand with over 175 stores worldwide, including 10 locations across London. Our mission is to bring Italian La Dolce Vita to the world.

Venchi UK is managed from our London headquarters and forms part of the global Venchi family. The UK business continues to grow rapidly, with new stores opening regularly, and we are looking for ambitious individuals to strengthen our presence.

We sell fresh gelato made daily by our in-house gelatieri, premium natural chocolates, and expertly crafted coffee. Attention to detail and a personal touch are what make our products so special in the world of fine chocolate.

Our stores are located in prestigious locations and are designed to showcase the quality and craftsmanship of our products. We pride ourselves on sourcing the finest ingredients, creating authentic recipes, and delivering an exceptional customer experience that builds lasting customer loyalty.

The Role

As an Assistant Manager at Venchi, you will help create a slice of Italy for Londoners and travelers from around the world, serving premium chocolate and gelato with genuine hospitality and care. This is an exciting, fast-paced role with excellent opportunities for career progression.

Working alongside the Store Manager, you will support the day-to-day operation of the store, leading a high-performing team of sales assistants and food and beverage operatives to deliver exceptional customer experiences while maintaining the highest operational standards.

The airport environment offers a unique opportunity to work with an international customer base, requiring adaptability, energy, and a passion for delivering outstanding service in a fast-moving setting.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the Store Manager in the daily operation of the store
Leading and motivating the team to deliver exceptional customer service
Driving sales performance and profitability
Coaching and developing team members
Ensuring compliance with operational, health & safety, and brand standards
Managing stock, waste, and store administration
Creating a positive and engaging working environment

Venchi Assistant Managers and Store Managers work closely together across our UK network, sharing best practices, supporting one another, and contributing to the continued growth of the brand.

Working Hours: 40 hours per week across 5 days, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
