North West Recycling, Cumbria’s leading waste management supplier are actively recruiting for an Industrial Cleaning Operative (Night Shift) to join our expanding team.
We employ over 120 staff, operate over 40 vehicles, and deploy over 2500 skips and containers from our 30-acre purpose-built waste management, skip hire and recycling facility near Carlisle, in Cumbria.

Our aim is to fully close the circular journey of the waste produced, through our ability to manage the entire process – skip hire and business waste collection through to recycling and full material recovery.
The Role
To ensure the continued efficient, safe and environmentally considerate cleaning and basic maintenance of our waste processing plant and it's equipment.
Responsibilities and duties to include: -
- To carry out cleaning of the processing areas and equipment including conveyors and trommels;
- Visual Inspection of working parts, recording wear and tear;
- Participate in improving process activities with continuous improvement;
- Complete work permits/point of work risk assessment/safe systems of work;
- Participate in building and maintaining a strong Health & Safety culture within the organisation and people;
- To maintain the standards expected by the Company in all aspects of the business and operation.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous industrial cleaning experience is essential.
The Package
The role attracts an hourly rate of £13.50 plus a £1 per hour nightshift allowance.
40 hours per week- night shifts- 10:00pm to 6:30am Monday to Friday.
20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays. An additional days holiday for every year of service up to an extra 10 days.
Onsite parking
Full training will be provided.
