ReCover, (part of the Coveris Group), is building a high-performance advanced recycling facility focused on circular PE film solutions. It is a strategically important operation delivering high-quality recycled polymers into performance packaging supply chains.
JOB SPECIFICATION
We are seeking a Shift Technician/Lead who will be fully accountable for operational excellence across safety, quality, output, environmental compliance and people performance. You will lead a multi-skilled team operating deinking, water treatment and extrusion processes. This is a leadership role — not simply a technical one. The working hours are on a continental shift pattern 2 days (6am - 6pm) followed by 2 night (6pm - 6am) then 4 days off.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITES
- Deliver shift KPIs across throughput, downtime, yield, energy usage and quality
- Lead root cause analysis on downtime, quality or process deviation.
- Ensure machinery operates at optimum capability through proactive planning and preventative maintenance alignment.
- Operate to a high standard of Health, Safety and Hygiene in the department at all times.
- Ensure compliance with environmental permits, water usage controls and chemical management.
- Own product quality through full control of material infeed, flake cleaning, moisture monitoring and pellet integrity.
- Maintain traceability and compliance to auditable standards.
- Ensure ERP data integrity and disciplined reporting.
- Lead, challenge and develop a small high-performing team.
- Maintain a “showcase facility” standard of housekeeping and discipline.
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION
- Experience within a high-volume manufacturing or process environment.
- Proven experience leading a shift team and delivering measurable performance improvement.
- Strong mechanical and process understanding (polymer, water treatment or extrusion experience advantageous).
- Ability to interpret operational data and drive decision-making.
- Confident communication and leadership presence.
- High personal standards and attention to detail.
- NVQ Level 3+ Engineering or equivalent.
- Competent in using Microsoft applications and internal ERP systems
Some training will be given to the right applicant however, you must be able to demonstrate the necessary skills and experience required to fulfil the role. Excellent remuneration and company benefits awarded to the right person
