Job Summary
Optometrist required
To become part of the team in a local, independent optometrists in Hull; a family run partnership, established 48 years ago consisting of a small group of three practices.
Full or part-time considered.
MECS or equivalent preferred but not essential.
Position ideal for newly qualified to develop skills going forward, including a pathway to becoming a partner.
No targets or conversion rates to worry about, just a friendly, professional attitude needed.
Full support staff including qualified Dispensing Opticians.
Salary package £55-65k depending on experience.
Duties
- Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess visual acuity and ocular health
- Diagnose eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and other ocular diseases
- Prescribe corrective lenses, contact lenses, or other treatments as appropriate
- Provide advice on eye health maintenance and preventive care
- Manage patient records accurately and ensure confidentiality at all times
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient treatment plans
- Offer specialised care for senior patients, addressing age-related visual issues
- Educate patients on the proper use of prescribed eyewear and contact lenses
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in optometry and ocular health practices
