We are looking for a reliable and professional 7.5 Tonne Delivery Driver to join our growing team. You'll be responsible for making local deliveries within approximately one hour of our depot, ensuring customers receive their orders safely, on time, and with excellent service.
You'll be driving a modern Isuzu 7.5-tonne vehicle fitted with a small HIAB crane, delivering a variety of products to both trade and domestic customers. This is primarily a local delivery role, meaning you'll be home every day with no long-distance or overnight work.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a modern 7.5-tonne Isuzu delivery vehicle.
- Use the vehicle-mounted HIAB crane to load and unload deliveries where required.
- Complete deliveries efficiently within the local area (typically within one hour of the depot).
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
- Ensure all delivery paperwork is completed accurately.
- Provide a friendly and professional service to customers.
- Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and road safety.
- Comply with all DVSA regulations, drivers' hours, and company procedures.
Requirements
- Valid UK Category C1 (7.5T) driving licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- HIAB experience preferred (training may be provided for the right candidate).
- Good knowledge of safe loading and unloading practices.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A positive attitude with the ability to work independently.
- Good level of physical fitness, as some manual handling will be required.
- Class 1 license a bonus but not essential for this role
