Job Description

Associate Business Analyst

We are looking for a motivated Associate Business Analyst to join our team in Guildford, Surrey. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for candidates who want to develop skills in business analysis, customer engagement, and process improvement within a fast-paced technology environment.

You will work closely with customers, internal teams, and technical engineers to gather requirements, support solution delivery, and improve business operations.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering

Gather and analyse customer requirements, translating business needs into structured solutions
Conduct customer profiling and identify key business objectives
Prepare clear documentation including reports, proposals, and process notes
Assist in preparing business reports and tracking operational performance

Stakeholder Communication & Client Engagement

Act as a point of contact to communicate with stakeholders via email, phone, and meetings
Participate in client discussions to understand requirements and propose suitable solutions
Deliver presentations and product demonstrations to support client understanding

Process Improvement & Operations

Analyse existing business processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency
Support workflow optimisation and contribute to operational best practices
Assist in coordinating project rollout by liaising with customers and internal teams

Project & Administrative Support

Maintain accurate records using internal systems (ERP)
Track customer interactions, enquiries, and project progress
Support cross-functional teams including sales, technical, and operations

Preferred Skills

Basic understanding of business analysis or related fields
Strong communication and ability to manage stakeholder relationships
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Logical thinking and structured problem-solving ability
Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools is an advantage
Knowledge of IT systems or software is a plus

Working Hours

Full-time – 37.5 hours/week (Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm)

Salary

£21,600 – £25,200 per annum
(Equivalent to £1,800 – £2,100 per month)

Candidate Profile

Preferred Skills:

Tech-savvy and comfortable picking up technical knowledge
Strong written and spoken English
Organised and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Great attention to detail and accuracy
Team player with a logical, problem-solving approach
Professional communication and excellent phone manner
Experience or knowledge in IT is advantageous
Proficiency in modern foreign languages (e.g. French, Spanish) is a plus

Education & Qualifications:

5 GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English
