Full job description

is withis Site Equip is the South’s leading supplier of portable welfare facilities, operating within event and construction industries, supplying major events and long term contracts with London Fire Brigade and the Ministry of Defence.

As the Plant Fitter, you will be supporting a fleet of vehicles and a range of plant including welfare units and trailers. We require a highly proficient candidate with excellent organisational and communication skills.

The Role

· Vehicle Inspections
· General Servicing
· Correction/repair of vehicle defects
· MOT Preparation / Presentation
· Completion of all required app-based jobs
· Repair & Maintenance of hire fleet, including, Welfare units, Generators, Pumps
· Maintain health and safety standards and tidiness of workshop at all times
· Manage workshop app
· Troubleshoot mechanical issues via phone or site visit and provide cost-effective solutions
· Manage stock control and pre-empt ordering of parts when low
· Proactively managing other members of team
· Plus any other duties as the business requires.

Experience:

Experience with diesel engines essential
Experience with generators useful but training can be undertaken
Adaptable and able to work on own initiative
