Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Bricklayer/Builder to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing a variety of masonry and building tasks, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your expertise in bricklaying, masonry, and related trades to contribute to diverse construction projects. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to develop their skills within a professional environment.

Structural work knowledge would be preferable.

Responsibilities

Lay bricks, blocks, and stones accurately according to project specifications and drawings
Mix mortar and prepare materials required for masonry work
Use hand tools such as trowels, levels, hammers, and chisels effectively
Operate power tools including drills, saws, and grinders safely and efficiently
Assist with carpentry tasks related to building frameworks or formwork when necessary
Perform roofing tasks as required, ensuring proper installation and sealing
Carry out welding tasks where applicable, adhering to safety standards
Maintain a clean and organised worksite, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
Collaborate with other tradespeople such as roofers, carpenters, and masons to complete projects on time
Structural work knowledge

Experience

Proven experience in bricklaying or masonry work is essential
Familiarity with the use of hand tools and power tools in construction environments
Knowledge of basic carpentry, roofing, and welding techniques is advantageous
Ability to interpret technical drawings and building plans accurately
Previous experience working on residential or commercial construction sites is preferred
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction industry
Have a mode of transport and be able to get to sites.
Own tools useful.
