Customer Operations Assistant – Anglesey Sea Zoo

Do you love variety, teamwork and working in a unique environment? Anglesey Sea Zoo, one of Anglesey’s star attractions, is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Customer Operations Supervisor to support our busy retail and food outlets.
The role
Working closely with the Customer Operations Manager, you’ll play a key part in delivering a quality visitor experience. Serving customers, preparing food and drinks and keeping things running smoothly across the café, gift shop and golf hut. As part of the wider customer operations team, you’ll also help with:
- Basic food preparation – hot and cold food, cakes, snacks and drinks
- Customer service – friendly and efficient help at all visitor touchpoints
- Stock control & ordering – ensuring items are well-stocked and ready to go
- Staff support – assisting with training, supervision and daily operations
- Rota planning – assisting in ensuring all areas are staffed appropriately
- Maximising retail opportunities across site – creativity and sustainability
- Special events and functions on occasion
Hours & working pattern
- 2-3 days per week between 9 am and 5 pm, Monday to Sunday, on a rota
- Permanent contract with reduced hours in winter, aligned to seasonal opening times (approximately 2 days, but accrued holiday entitlement can be used in this period to make up the pay)
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, helpful and great with people
- Must be over the age of 18
- Comfortable with basic food handling and prep (Food Hygiene certificate training provided)
- Happy to work flexibly across departments and various start and finish times
- Reliable, team-oriented and hands-on
