JG Pears (Newark) Ltd is a progressive and successful animal by-product processing company, supplying proteins and fats to major pet food brands and biofuel producers. We are looking for an experienced Fulfilment Manager to join our team at our High Marnham site.
This is a key management role responsible for overseeing the end-to-end fulfilment process, ensuring that orders are processed accurately, product movements are managed efficiently, and deliveries to UK and international customers are completed safely, compliantly and on time.
The successful candidate will manage the Dispatch, Export and Weighbridge teams, ensuring clear communication, effective planning and high standards across all areas of fulfillment. We offer permanent, full-time management role and opportunity to lead and develop key operational teams.
Working hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

Responsibilities:
- Managing the day-to-day fulfilment, dispatch, export and weighbridge operations
- Leading, supporting and developing the Dispatch, Export and Weighbridge teams
- Ensuring orders are processed accurately and deliveries are planned efficiently
- Managing finished goods movements, loading schedules, inventory and warehouse activity
- Ensuring safe yard traffic management and minimising driver waiting times
- Overseeing export documentation and international trade compliance requirements
- Working with freight forwarders, shipping lines and customs brokers
- Ensuring Health Certificates, bills of lading, customs declarations and other export paperwork are completed correctly
- Maintaining compliance documentation for Category 1, 2 and 3 animal by-products
- Ensuring all dispatch paperwork is completed, signed, dated and filed correctly
- Supporting health, safety, quality and compliance standards across the department
- Liaising with Operations, Logistics, Quality and senior management teams
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, efficiency and cost savings
- Managing shift patterns, holiday cover and team performance
- Investigating issues where required and supporting disciplinary processes in line with company procedure
Requirements:
- Previous management experience within logistics, shipping, fulfilment, supply chain, dispatch or a similar environment
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end export processes, including post-Brexit procedures into the EU and beyond
- Experience managing both office-based and operational/industrial teams
- Excellent communication, planning and problem-solving skills
- The ability to make quick, confident and practical decisions
- Strong attention to detail, particularly around compliance and documentation
- Good IT and systems knowledge
- A proactive approach to health, safety, quality and continuous improvement
- Experience within animal by-products, waste, heavy goods, bulk goods, liquid products or manufacturing would be advantageous, but is not essential
- A qualification in supply chain, logistics, business administration or international trade would also be beneficial
