Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Bar Assistant / Glass Collector to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, assisting with bar service, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop hospitality skills within a lively setting, ensuring smooth operations during busy periods. Prior experience in a restaurant or bar environment is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Collect and clean used glasses and utensils promptly to maintain cleanliness on the bar and dining areas.
Assist bartenders with serving drinks, ensuring orders are prepared accurately and efficiently.
Greet guests courteously and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit.
Restock bar supplies as needed, including glassware, garnishes, and other essentials.
Maintain hygiene standards in accordance with food safety regulations.
Support the team during busy periods by managing customer queues and providing timely assistance.
Ensure the bar area remains tidy, organised, and safe at all times.
Handle cash or card transactions accurately when required.

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality, food safety, or serving roles is desirable but not mandatory.
Familiarity with restaurant or bar environments will be beneficial.
Basic maths skills are essential for handling transactions efficiently.
Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy shifts.
Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour to ensure positive guest interactions. This role offers a dynamic work environment where teamwork and professionalism are valued highly.
