Pay: £8.00–£13.00 per hour, depending on age, experience and ability.
Starting pay will meet the correct National Minimum Wage/National Living Wage rate for your age, with progression based on training, performance and reliability.

The role
We are looking for a Trainee Beauty Assistant to join our team. This is an entry-level position, ideal for someone who is reliable, friendly and keen to start a career in the beauty industry.
No salon experience is required, as training will be provided on the job. This role would suit someone studying beauty, someone considering a beauty career, or someone who enjoys working with people and wants to learn salon skills.

What you’ll do
- Help prepare and finish nail treatments
- Learn and assist with services such as gel polish, manicures, pedicures, waxing, tinting, lashes, massage and facials, where appropriate and under supervision
- Greet clients and help provide a friendly customer experience
- Answer calls and help manage bookings
- Support the team during busy periods
- Help maintain stock levels
- Keep the salon clean, tidy and presentable
- Learn good salon hygiene, customer service and professional standards
What we’re looking for
- A positive, reliable and customer-focused attitude
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to learn and take feedback
- Good timekeeping
- Confidence speaking to clients
- Ability to work as part of a small team
- Flexibility to work within salon opening hours, including Saturdays.
- Right to work in the UK
Nice to have, but not essential
- Previous salon or customer service experience
- Studying or completed Beauty Level 2 or similar
- Interest in nails, lashes, brows, massage, facials or general beauty treatments
