SHARE is located near Halifax town centre; it is a social care provision that provides services for people from the age of 18 with no upper age limit who experience mental distress.

Do you enjoy making a difference in people’s lives helping them build confidence and supporting them on their journey of recovery. A good understanding of mental health problems is beneficial however a willingness to learn with a commitment to undertake training for the role.

We are looking for someone who has good communication skills, empathic, pragmatic with an ability to record information accurately and can remain calm when dealing with difficult situations.

In this role you will support individuals to achieve their goals, so they lead more independent lives in the community, safely and to the best of their abilities.

Service operates 24/7 working as part of a rota: shift patterns are early 8-15.30, mid shift 10.30-18.00 and late shift 14.30-22.00/22.30 if sleeping in so flexibility is key.

Applications are invited from people with experience of mental health and social care settings, who can demonstrate their ability to work as a team member without direct supervision.

Applicants to posts that are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act will require a DBS from the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed.
