General Manager – Kahiki Soundhouse, ManchesterLead one of Manchester's most exciting new live entertainment venues.
This isn't just another General Manager role.
Kahiki Soundhouse is a brand-new live music, cocktail and karaoke venue in the heart of Manchester's Northern Quarter. We're building something different – live bands, duelling pianos, DJs, immersive entertainment and unforgettable nights out.
The venue is open, trading and growing, but we're only scratching the surface. We're looking for an ambitious General Manager who wants to build a destination venue rather than simply maintain one.
If you've ever wanted the opportunity to put your own stamp on a business, grow sales, build an incredible team and become known for running one of Manchester's best late-night venues, this is it.
About You
You're an experienced hospitality leader who loves being in the middle of the action.
You don't hide in the office. You're on the floor, talking to guests, motivating your team, solving problems and making sure every night feels like an event.
You'll ideally have experience managing busy bars, live entertainment venues or premium late-night concepts and understand exactly what keeps guests coming back.
You'll also:
- Lead from the front and set the standard for your team.
- Be hands-on and happy jumping behind the bar, supporting the floor or welcoming guests whenever needed.
- Have a genuine passion for creating atmosphere and memorable experiences.
- Be confident leading large teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Understand labour, stock control, licensing and operational compliance.
- Be commercially driven, constantly looking for ways to increase sales and grow the venue.
- Enjoy developing people and creating a positive, high-performing culture.
- Bring energy, personality and confidence that guests and staff naturally respond to.
The Role
As General Manager you'll take ownership of the entire operation.
Working closely with the directors, you'll have the freedom to introduce ideas, improve the guest experience and help shape the future of the business.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and inspiring the venue team.
- Driving sales and building repeat business.
- Delivering exceptional guest experiences every night.
- Recruiting, training and developing your team.
- Maintaining outstanding standards across service, cleanliness and compliance.
- Managing labour, stock and financial performance.
- Building relationships with performers, promoters, local businesses and the wider Manchester hospitality scene.
- Being the face of Kahiki Soundhouse and creating a venue people genuinely want to visit.
Why Join Us?
This is a rare opportunity to take charge of a venue with genuine growth potential.
You'll have the backing of experienced owners, the freedom to influence the direction of the business and the chance to build your reputation by creating one of Manchester's standout late-night destinations.
If you're ambitious, energetic, love live entertainment and believe great hospitality starts on the venue floor rather than behind a desk, we'd love to hear from you.
