As Regional Transport Manager, you'll play a key role in leading and developing our national transport operation, ensuring we deliver exceptional service to our internal customers while driving operational excellence, compliance and continuous improvement.

Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the performance and continuous improvement of WREN's transport operation, ensuring a safe, compliant and cost-effective service across the network.
- Oversee teams executing multi-drop, white-glove home deliveries of bulky kitchen and bedroom flatpacks, aiming for first-time delivery success.
- Manage P&L and Performance: departmental budgets, analyze telematics and transport management systems (TMS), and track KPIs like fuel efficiency.
- Oversee Northern Depots & Driver Management: Recruit, train, and develop drivers and porters, managing absence, disciplinary actions, and performance.
- Develop strong relationships with xxx teams to optimise fleet utilisation, resource planning and operational performance.
- Drive driver engagement, coaching and development, creating a positive culture that supports high performance and employee retention.
- Ensure full compliance with Operator Licence requirements, transport legislation and company policies, while managing internal and external transport providers.
- Identifying opportunities to improve service levels, reduce costs and support the long-term transport strategy.
In addition to any other duties, as a responsible person you must ensure that you have read, understood and adhere to polices and procedure relating to Health and Safety, and your responsibilities located in the Integrated Management System (IMS) Responsibilities document.
Desired Skills and Knowledge:
You'll be an experienced transport leader who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment and enjoys building high-performing teams. You're commercially minded, highly organised and passionate about delivering excellent service while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.
- International Transport Manager CPC and significant transport or haulage management experience.
- Proven experience leading multi-site transport operations, including drivers, fleet management and planning teams.
- Strong knowledge of Operator Licence compliance, transport legislation and fleet performance management.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the business.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement, operational excellence and developing people.
