Full job description

Overview

Infinity Financial Solutions Limited are excited to seek an Accountant to join our fast-growing, dynamic team. The Accountant position is a newly created role, reporting directly to the Managing Director. The ideal candidate would be within a commutable distance to Salisbury (we are currently looking to relocate from Fordingbridge)

Responsibilities

Day-to-day servicing of a portfolio of SME businesses and their owners
Prepare financial statements, including monthly, quarterly and annual accounts
Arrange financial management reports, including financial planning and forecasting
Maintain accounting records and prepare accounts and management information
Oversee the ongoing maintenance of accounts
Liaise with clients (individuals or businesses) and provide financial information and advice
Reconcile accounts including receivable and payable
Manage budgets
Ensure cashflow is utilised properly and protect reserves
Check financial information for inconsistencies
Provide tax planning strategies in accordance with existing legislation
Create financial forecasts and analyse risk
Understand and adhere to all financial and accounting regulations and legislation
Production and analysis of VAT returns
Answering client queries and questions over email, phone and in person
Bank reconciliations
Payroll and CIS
Working to deadlines
Any other duties as required in order to assist the company achieve its objectives
Oversight and support for team members of apprentice, bookkeepers and accounts assistants
Preparation of tax returns
Company Secretarial services

Skills

Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or other relevant software.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate financial reporting.
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.
Strong communication skills for presenting financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Experience in mentoring or training junior staff is an advantage.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on continuous improvement.

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
