Full Time | 45 hours per week | 5 days out of 7
£13.71 per hour + tips

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Assistant Banqueting Manager to join the team at Bristol Harbour Hotel & Spa.

Working closely with the Banqueting Manager and wider Food & Beverage team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional meetings, conferences, weddings, private dining and special events within one of Bristol’s most distinctive venues.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, enjoys leading from the front and takes pride in creating memorable experiences for every guest.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the Banqueting Manager with the smooth day-to-day running of all meetings, conferences, weddings and events
Leading and motivating the banqueting team to deliver consistently high standards of service
Overseeing the set-up, service and breakdown of functions and events
Ensuring event spaces are presented to an exceptional standard and in line with function requirements
Liaising closely with the kitchen, events and wider hotel teams to ensure seamless delivery
Acting as a key point of contact for guests and event organisers throughout their event
Supporting the training, development and supervision of team members
Anticipating guest requirements and responding quickly and professionally to any changes or requests
Ensuring health & safety, food hygiene and company standards are maintained at all times

We’re looking for someone who is organised, confident and passionate about hospitality, with strong communication skills and a natural ability to lead and inspire a team.

Previous experience within banqueting, events, food & beverage or a supervisory hospitality role would be highly advantageous.

Flexibility is essential, as the role will include a mixture of daytime, evening and weekend shifts depending on the hotel’s event schedule.
