Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of sandwiches and food items according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is prepared safely, adhering to food safety regulations and hygiene protocols
- Serve customers efficiently at the counter, providing friendly and professional service
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and work surfaces
- Manage multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining quality and accuracy
- Upsell additional menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
- Assist with stock replenishment and inventory checks as needed
- Follow time management practices to ensure timely order completion during busy periods
- Attend and complete training sessions assigned from time to time
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is advantageous
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and portion control
- Experience working in a kitchen environment or culinary background is desirable
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent time management skills to handle peak periods efficiently
- Friendly demeanour with good communication skills, capable of serving customers courteously
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
