TISICS is a small management-owned business with material and processing technology that is of potential future benefit primarily to the Space and Aerospace sectors. The company designs and manufactures net shape metal and continuous silicon carbide fibre reinforced composite components compromising titanium and aluminium alloys. Our advanced materials offer significant advantages both to the Aerospace sector in reducing the weight of platforms for environmental benefit and to the Space sector with rapid growth in communications, climate and planetary exploration applications. CNC Turner Role
The CNC Turner will assist in the manufacturing of parts through the production process, ensuring planned times for setting and manufacturing are met or improved; and high quality parts produced within required performance, cost and delivery targets.
The role will be based on-site at our facility in Farnborough.
Duties and Responsibilities
Set, operate and program CNC lathes
Produce high quality machined parts in accordance with work instructions and drawings, ensuring that all specifications, quality expectations and inspection requirements are understood prior to commencing jobs and that any issues are reported to the Team Leader at the earliest opportunity.
Self-inspect work using precision measurement tools; verniers, calipers, gauges, micrometers
Input to design process to improve DFM of components
Utilise tooling effectively, ensuring that any needs are communicated promptly.
Qualifications
Mechanical knowledge and an understanding of CNC turning processes.
Familiarity with materials handling
Familiarity with industry safety standards
