Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Dozer Operator to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating bulldozers to assist in earthmoving and site preparation activities. This role requires a strong understanding of machinery operation, safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects while maintaining high standards of safety and precision.

Duties

Operate bulldozers to move earth, gravel, and other materials according to project specifications
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on the dozer to ensure optimal functioning
Assist with site levelling, grading, and excavation tasks as required
Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project deadlines are met
Follow safety guidelines at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Maintain accurate records of work completed and report any equipment issues promptly
Support other machinery operations such as excavators when necessary for project needs

Skills

Proven experience operating bulldozers in a construction or civil engineering environment
Mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs on machinery
Familiarity with excavators and other heavy equipment is advantageous
Valid CPCS preferred for transporting equipment or materials between sites
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively.
