About Us
Solar Tackle is an established trading company based in Dartford, Kent. As we grow our in-house finance team, we're looking for an experienced and detail-focused AR Clerk to join us on a part-time basis. This role would suit someone with solid finance fundamentals, hands-on ERP experience, and a confident approach to credit control and customer collections.
The Role
This is a permanent, on-site role based in our Dartford office, working 25 hours a week (5 hours a day). You'll take ownership of end-to-end accounts receivable — from invoice processing through to payment chasing and ledger maintenance — working closely with colleagues and customers to keep cash flow healthy and AR records up to date.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full AR process: invoice validation, processing, ledger posting and payment reconciliation
- Chase overdue payments and resolve billing queries and disputes promptly and professionally
- Keep AR records accurate and up to date on the company ERP system
- Prepare aged debtor reports, AR updates and month-end summaries in Excel
- Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies
- Support month-end close with accurate AR documentation
- Build and maintain good working relationships with customers to keep payments on track
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control or a similar finance role
- A solid grasp of UK accounting principles and standard AR procedures
- Hands-on experience with an ERP finance system
- Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, reporting)
- A confident, professional communicator, comfortable chasing overdue accounts
- High attention to detail and good organisational skills
- Able to work independently and hit monthly deadlines
- Available for 25 hours a week, on-site in Dartford
Hours & Location
Permanent, part-time. 25 hours/week (5 hours daily). Based on-site in Dartford, Kent — no remote working.
