Job Overview

Duties

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues and safety concerns
Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including engines, brakes, transmissions, and electrical components
Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle parts
Assist with heavy lifting tasks to move engines, tires, or other large components safely and effectively
Follow detailed repair procedures and document all work performed accurately in service records
Test drive vehicles post-repair to ensure quality and proper functioning
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety standards at all times

Qualifications

Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle repair or maintenance
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools essential for automotive work
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of routine tasks
Excellent problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
Prior experience working with various vehicle makes and models is preferred but not required
Valid certification or training in automotive repair is advantageous but not mandatory
