Job Title: Bank Customer Service Advisor

What you'll be doing:

Process requests for investigations, appointments and inpatient stays, booking them accurately onto our clinical systems and liaising closely with clinical teams
- Accurately process bookings onto Meditech, capturing the full Minimum Data Set along with any additional requirements
- Confirm appointments and admissions with patients by post and email, including sending our “To Come In” packs
- Liaise with patients, insurers and sponsors to secure pre-authorisation, pre-verification and payment ahead of treatment
- Support Emergency and Out of Hours admissions, including liaison with embassies and sponsors where necessary
- Update clinical wards, theatres and other teams on special requirements, expected admissions and any urgent changes
- Prioritise and manage a busy daily workload within agreed timescales
- Build strong working relationships with Matron's Office, Financial Teams and the International Office
- Cover for colleagues during periods of absence
What we're looking for:

GCSEs or equivalent in Mathematics and English
- Experience of handling a diverse workload in a busy administrative setting, ideally within healthcare
- Confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office (experience of Meditech is a plus)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a great telephone manner
- Comfortable working under pressure, prioritising tasks and using your own initiative
- A strong sense of patient focus and commitment to delivering excellent customer service

You'll be joining our Customer Service Team within Patient Support Services - the friendly, fast-moving team that patients speak to before they've even set foot in the Clinic. It's a close-knit group that prides itself on getting the details right first time, and there's real variety in the day-to-day, from booking appointments to sorting pre-authorisations with insurers and sponsors.
