Full job description

ROLE OVERVIEW

Experienced Groundworkers – Harlow.

Coinford are looking for experienced Groundworkers, External Finishers and Groundwork Gangs to join our team on a major residential project in Harlow, Essex.

We have full time permanent and a 5-week temporary role available focusing on external works, 10 hours paid per day, competitive rates and a steady pipeline of work for the right people.

If you take pride in your work, turn up every day and can deliver a high standard of finish, we want to hear from you.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Setting up and using trench boxes, drag boxes, manhole boxes and pipe lasers
Laying concrete, clay and plastic pipes (all sizes) to correct bed, surround and levels
Ensuring pipes are tested and laid correctly throughout
Managing groundwater and setting up the correct pump for the task
Ensuring correct backfilling of trenches
Benching of all manholes
External works including kerbs, edgings, slabs and block paving
Working safely around live services using correct service avoidance techniques
Carrying out daily pre-start plant safety inspections

REQUIREMENTS:

CSCS Groundworker card or similar qualification
Confined Space ticket
Safety Critical Medical (site specific)
CAT & Genny Training
Reliable, punctual and able to work well with other trades
Right to work in the UK

DESIRABLE:

CPCS / NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) Forward Tipping Dumper*
CPCS / NPORS* Ride-On Roller
Abrasive Wheels Training
Face Fit Certification
Harness Awareness Certification
5–10+ years of skilled groundworks experience
Experienced working gangs / teams highly sought after
Please note: to comply with client requirements, we can only accept NPORS cards that are CSCS-affiliated and carry the CSCS hologram. If you do not currently meet this requirement, please still get in touch – we are happy to guide you through the transfer process.
