About Us

Advantage Solicitors is a well-established and expanding law firm providing legal services across a range of practice areas, with a particular focus on Personal Injury, Family and Immigration, together with a broad range of other legal services.

We are seeking an experienced and organised Legal Cashier/Bookkeeper to join our busy office. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will assist with the day-to-day financial operations of the firm, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting bookkeeping functions and ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules.

Key Responsibilities

· Maintaining accurate client and office account records.

· Processing daily receipts, payments and transfers.

· Bookkeeping and posting financial transactions.

· Bank reconciliations.

· Processing supplier invoices and accounts payable.

· Assisting with billing and credit control.

· Preparing electronic payments.

· Assisting with month-end and year-end procedures.

· Maintaining financial records and supporting management reporting.

· Ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules.

· Providing general finance and administrative support to the Finance Manager.

Essential Requirements

· Previous bookkeeping experience, preferably within a law firm.

· Good understanding of bookkeeping principles.

· Knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules (preferred).

· Excellent numerical and organisational skills.

· High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

· Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Excellent communication skills.

Desirable

· Experience using legal accounts software.

· Experience within a solicitors' practice.
