Recruitment Consultant
Location: Castleford, West Yorkshire
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 + Commission around £40,000 OTE
Job Type: Permanent, Monday–Friday
Working Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm, with flexible start and finish times
Working Pattern: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home
The Role
D7 Recruitment is looking for a Recruitment Consultant to join our growing team in Castleford.
This is primarily a 180 recruitment role, focused on sourcing, engaging and placing Health & Safety professionals into permanent and contract positions across the UK and international markets.
You’ll work closely with clients and candidates throughout the recruitment process, from identifying and approaching suitable professionals through to interviews, offers and placement. There is very little cold sales or business development, so the focus is firmly on recruitment, relationship building and delivering a quality service.
D7 Recruitment works closely with an established Health & Safety consultancy, supporting their recruitment requirements across the UK, Europe, Australia, Africa, the Far East and the US. We also support a range of clients across construction, engineering, energy, consultancy, property and other sectors.
What You'll Be DoingCandidate Sourcing & Recruitment
- Source and identify Health & Safety professionals using LinkedIn Recruiter, CV databases, Bullhorn and other recruitment tools.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of candidates for current and future vacancies.
- Review CVs, conduct candidate interviews and assess suitability against role requirements.
- Manage candidates throughout the recruitment process, keeping them informed and engaged.
- Develop long-term relationships with candidates rather than focusing solely on individual vacancies.
- Ensure all relevant compliance, right-to-work and qualification checks are completed.
Client Management
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key client contacts.
- Understand recruitment requirements and provide suitable candidates in a timely manner.
- Keep clients updated throughout the recruitment process.
- Develop a strong understanding of the Health & Safety recruitment market and the roles you are recruiting for.
Relationship Building
- Proactively engage with professionals within the Health & Safety sector.
- Develop and maintain a network of candidates and industry contacts.

- Must live within a commutable distance of Castleford and be able to work from the office Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with two days working from home.
Desirable
- Previous experience in recruitment, talent attraction, resourcing or internal recruitment.
- Experience recruiting within construction, engineering, the built environment or a related sector.
